Chrysler Crossfire Coupe: Safety

Chrysler Crossfire
The highest priority in the design of maneuverable sport coupe (like Chrysler Crossfire) is an active safety (accident prevention). However, the Crossfire is equipped with all devices and passive safety, which could wish for. Acting in conjunction with the crumple zones of the body, they provide optimum protection for people in the cabin at real road accidents.

Chrysler Crossfire in the base version equipped with the latest active safety systems: anti-lock braking system (ABS), a system emergency braking assistance (BAS) and dynamic stabilization system (ESP ®). They increase the force of adhesion with the road surface and vehicle directional stability even under the most adverse weather conditions.

Unfortunately, still there are situations where it is impossible to avoid a collision. In this case the system of airbags (SRS) assesses the severity of impact and adequately respond to it. Chrysler Crossfire is equipped with a three-point seat belts mount, pretensioners and force limiters and belt tension. In addition, the number of passive safety devices Crossfire includes: front and side airbags (the latter are built into the door) for driver and front passenger, knee pads to protect the driver, as well as special deformable lining, covering all areas of the ceiling of the passenger compartment, which in an accident may injure the head of passengers.
